Looking for a Koran (or, whatever-you-call-it)

I was just browsing through the Kindle versions of English translations the Koran available on Amazon to add to my summer reading list. It's amusing to see the many ways that the book is titled and its authorship is attributed:

  • The Kindle Qur'an | Kindle Koran | Kindle Quran | Kindle Al-Qur'an (Definitive English Edition) Complete and Unabridged With Full Color Reproductions ... Moslem | Qur'an | Koran | Quran | Al-Qur'an) by Allah, Mohammed, Muhammed and God [this is the take-no-chances-on-alternate-spellings edition, obviously. And I love the idea of Allah, Mohammed, Muhammed, and God sitting around a table somewhere, hammering out drafts.]
  • Koran. English by J. M. (John Medows) Rodwell [this one wins for awkward title punctuation]
  • The Koran in English (w/ Active Table of Contents) by Koran [Koran by Koran makes me think of Duran Duran]
  • The Koran by Muhammad, Gabriel, E.H. Palmer and E.H. Palmer [and, in case you didn't notice, E.H. Palmer]
  • The Koran (The Qur'an) by Anonymous, N. J. Dawood and N. J. Dawood [what is this trend with repeating the name of the translator?! And "Anonymous?" Really? Allah, Mohammed, Muhammed, and God are going to be pissed.]
I still have no idea which one to get.
